Why don't some home builders pay their contractors?

Recently I spoke to a friend of mine who is a contractor and a plumber and he asked me a question, "Why do some home builders (Bravo Homes) not pay their contractors?" I gotta say that one threw me for a loop!

I guess you could call it naivety, but I just assumed that builders such as Bravo Homes, a higher end builder who builds in the pre ...

Home Staging-Does it really work or is it a waste of $$

As a REALTOR® I get asked by my clients all the time, do we need to stage the house? Can you offer us suggestions on how to fix the place up? Can you or are you willing to bring in a stager? I typically answer those questions like this, Depends, De-Clutter, We will see.

Now don't get me wrong, I do not discredit home stagers, in fact ...

Pre Qualified Buyer versus Pre Approved Buyer

Pre Qualified versus Pre Approved, do you know the difference??

This is not so much a rant as I hope it is an education for the uninformed or misled buyer. There are a couple of terms I am sure most of you have heard before and they are Pre Qualified and Pre Approved, believe me there is a difference.

A Pre Qualification will involve really nothing more than a phone call into your mortgage ...

For Sale by Owners

For Sale by Owners...God love em! I gotta say that because before I was a Realtor® I was one of them! Let me explain, I met my gorgeous wife in 2004 and shortly thereafter we were living together(well maybe 8 months or so later). We decided to build a place and move into something that was ours not just hers.

So in doing this we had to sell a house, this was 2006, we thought how hard could ...
